Are you under surveillance when you’re looking at someone else’s home? You could be. The teddy bear in the corner with the hidden video camera may actually be on when you’re walking through the home.

Why? Sellers want to know whether or not you like the house. They want to hear your raw, honest feedback. It’s just like on those HGTV shows where people walk through and comment on the house while the sellers watch through the other side of the screen.

Some of you might say, “Isn’t that an invasion of my privacy?” The laws vary from state to state, but it’s hard to argue that you have a reasonable expectation of privacy in someone else’s home. If you were in a locker room, then yes, you have a reasonable expectation of privacy. The same is not true when walking through a property.

If you really like the house, keep it to yourself. Don’t talk about what you would be willing to pay for the house. Keep that information between you and your agent, especially in this competitive market. You can talk about the ugly tile all you want, though!

If you really like the home, keep that information between you and your agent.

If you have any questions, give me a call or send me an email. I would be happy to help you!

  1. Hi.....Moving to a huge and busy city costs a lot of money but you can reduce your expenses if you consider affordable foreclosed condo properties for sale. As far as foreclosed properties are concerned some of the better deals have been made through a short sale.Read more-newark property for sale
